Fall is my favorite time of the year. And because it doesn’t seem to last as long anymore as I remember from my childhood (blame it on global warming, I guess?), I always try to get away on the weekends to enjoy that distinct, slightly damp crispiness in the air, the changing colors of the trees, and that shuffling sound you make with your feet (or at least, the sound I like to make with my feet!).
This year I managed a couple of days in Bucks County, PA, and a day trip to the woods along Seven Lakes Drive, NY. Both were relaxing and fulfilling on different levels (including fall inspired photography). And just to top it off, I started biking again (yes, in Manhattan!). Although, I wish I started earlier (I saw some flurries today), riding through the Central Park or along East and Hudson rivers on a cool but sunny fall day is quickly becoming one of my favorite things to do in the city.
